Mantra Meditation is the Atma’s Vacation

The final stage of yogic perfection is called trance or samadhi, wherein one’s mind is completely withdrawn from all material mental activities by the practice of Yoga. This perfection is characterized by one’s ability to see their true-self using the purified mind, and then to serve Bhagavan as the All-pervading Supreme Being - Paramatma.

In that joyful consciousness, a Yogi experiences unlimited transcendental happiness, which is perceived through the transcendental senses of their atma or true-self. After achieving this state, one never forgets the truth and upon realizing this, they become certain that is no greater joy. Knowing this, one is never shaken, even in the midst of the greatest calamity. This is ultimate freedom from all miseries, that arise from attachment to Material Nature. (B.G. Ch. 6 v.20-23)
