Celebrating Krishna Janmashtami, the 8th day of the waning Moon, is the festival that marks the birth of Shri Krishna. There are many ways to celebrate Krishna's appearance day and I have included a list below.

This year, Jeffrey and I would like to invite you online

the pastimes of Shri Krishna.

Celebrating Krishna Janmashtami at home can be an enriching and deep emotional (spiritual) experience. 

Here's some ways to celebrate it at home:

1. Clean and Decorate: Prepare your home with decorations, flowers, and lights.
2. Prepare a Sacred altar: Place an image or sculpture of Krishna and decorate
3. Fasting: Consider fasting until midnight or having a light diet.
4. Devotional Activities: Sing bhajans, chant 'Hare Krishna,' and read Krishna's stories.
5. Midnight Puja: Perform a puja at midnight, offering sweets and lighting lamps.
6. Swinging Cradle: Set up a cradle for baby Krishna, symbolizing his birth.
7. Breaking the Fast: Share prasad with family and friends after the puja.
8. Cultural Celebrations: Organize dances, dramas, and singing sessions.
9. Community Spirit: Join neighbors for communal celebrations if possible.
10. Charity: Donate or help those in need to mark the occasion.
