Shodashi Initiation - Return of the Feminine Divine

The real meaning of initiation in the yogic and eastern traditions is a hearing of something that is past down from the Divine.  And the process of passing something on through sound is considered to be a very profound sacred trust. The whole concept of gurus in the East was not about having control over people’s lives ever. It was that they were the repository of the sacred sound vibration and wisdom that was very ancient, and that they were trained to preserve it, so that it was passed down to the next person, to the next generation, without having been distorted or tampered with. Sanskrit was the language that was used as it has no linquistic drift.
